DMK president M.K. Stalin urged the state administration to convene an emergency winter session of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly to pass legislation exempting the state from the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. Stalin pointed out that while judicial bodies have repeatedly acknowledged the severe hardship imposed on rural and government school students by standardized national examinations, both Union and state governments display shocking indifference toward student welfare.

Stalin asserted that the existing medical entrance framework systematically disadvantages rural aspirants who lack the financial means to afford expensive private coaching institutes. He noted that judicial observations have repeatedly highlighted the discriminatory nature of the examination system, reinforcing the arguments long advanced by Tamil Nadu political parties and educationalists. A centralized entrance framework erodes state autonomy, destroys the aspirations of poor students, and degrades regional public healthcare infrastructure.

The opposition leader called upon the Chief Minister to demonstrate administrative courage by introducing a unanimous statutory bill in the legislature to abolish NEET across the state. Stalin declared that the DMK will persistently mobilize democratic and legal resources to protect the medical education aspirations of underprivileged youths.
