DMK president M.K. Stalin visited young accident victim Anuradha, who suffered severe injuries and leg amputations after an illegally erected AIADMK flagpole collapsed along a public road in Coimbatore. Offering heartfelt consolation to the victim and her family, Stalin presented financial assistance on behalf of the DMK and pledged comprehensive support to fit advanced prosthetic limbs to aid her rehabilitation. He characterized the incident as another horrifying consequence of partisan vanity on public highways.
Stalin sharply condemned the ruling AIADMK establishment for failing even to extend basic words of sympathy or relief to the injured victim. He denounced the ruling party's arrogant indifference toward public safety, noting that illegal hoardings, party banners, and flagpoles persistently imperil ordinary pedestrians and motorists across Tamil Nadu. Despite repetitive judicial strictures prohibiting unauthorized roadside structures, ruling party functionaries continue erecting hazardous party propaganda with complete administrative impunity.
The opposition leader demanded that law enforcement authorities initiate strict criminal proceedings against those responsible for the unlawful installation that caused Anuradha's life-altering trauma. Stalin affirmed that public safety must take absolute precedence over political celebrations, pledging that the DMK will persistently champion accountability.
