DMK president M.K. Stalin sharply questioned Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami's sudden reversal on local body election mechanisms, challenging him to explain why his administration discarded its own statutory decisions. Stalin noted that while the Chief Minister cited past procedural alterations to justify current modifications, he conveniently ignored the fact that he reversed his own government's 2018 legislation in 2019. Stalin declared that this blatant legislative inconsistency was born purely out of mortal dread of facing a humiliating public rejection.
Stalin observed that the AIADMK leadership is desperately seeking procedural loopholes and secret legal interventions to stall the civic polls once again. He remarked that the Chief Minister is hoping that somebody will approach the judiciary so that the administration can conveniently blame legal disputes for postponing elections. Having failed to deliver basic rural amenities, road repairs, or drinking water supplies over the past three years, the ruling party dreads facing grassroots voters.
Stalin affirmed that neither procedural flip-flops nor clandestine attempts to orchestrate legal delays will save the AIADMK regime from public wrath. He asserted that the DMK and its allies are fully prepared to secure sweeping victories across all local bodies.
