DMK president M.K. Stalin launched a sharp condemnation against the Union Bharatiya Janata Party government for systematically undermining affirmative action for Other Backward Classes across central educational and governmental institutions. Stalin pointed out that ever since the BJP assumed power at the Centre, statutory twenty-seven percent reservation for backward classes in central government departments has remained unfulfilled. He stated that administrative mechanisms are being deliberately engineered to deny constitutional entitlements to socially disadvantaged communities.

Stalin highlighted the egregious denial of OBC quotas in medical seats surrendered by states to the All-India Quota pool. By refusing to apply mandated reservations to these medical seats, central authorities deprived thousands of talented backward class students from pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Stalin characterized this persistent exclusion as a calculated institutional conspiracy to disenfranchise backward communities and reverse decades of progressive social mobility.

He affirmed that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam will spearhead sustained legal and political struggles to enforce complete statutory reservation in all central educational admissions.
