DMK president M.K. Stalin issued an urgent call to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, pressing him to devote serious, undivided attention to alarming findings regarding toxic contamination in milk supplies across the state. Stalin pointed out that milk is an indispensable universal nutrient consumed daily by infants, growing children, and senior citizens, while serving as the primary economic lifeline for dairy farmers and retail vendors. Allowing toxic adulteration in dairy supplies constitutes a grave public health emergency.

Stalin stressed that the state government must grasp the severe ramifications of milk contamination and initiate immediate, sweeping laboratory inspections across dairy procurement and distribution centers. Stringent quality checks must be enforced at every stage, including cattle feed production units, cooperative chilling centers, and private packaging plants. The administrative machinery cannot afford to remain complacent when widespread public safety and child nutrition are directly compromised by commercial negligence and lax regulatory monitoring.

Stalin urged the Chief Minister to launch transparent regulatory investigations and take uncompromising legal action against unscrupulous suppliers compromising food safety. He affirmed that the DMK will persistently demand strict food safety governance to safeguard the health and well-being of Tamil Nadu's citizens.
