DMK president M.K. Stalin launched a sharp condemnation against the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission, remarking that the statutory body had compromised its constitutional autonomy to the extent of functioning like an annex of the ruling AIADMK party headquarters. Stalin stated that institutional subservience of this magnitude undermines democratic credibility and erodes public faith in the impartiality of local body election management. He criticized poll administrators for constantly tailoring electoral schedules and notifications to suit the electoral anxieties of the ruling party.
Despite deliberate administrative obstacles, Stalin declared that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, its secular alliance partners, and the electorate of Tamil Nadu are thoroughly prepared to contest the civic elections. He asserted that the opposition coalition is determined to secure an overwhelming democratic victory across rural panchayats, town panchayats, and municipal councils, thereby delivering a decisive political rebuff to the corrupt and inefficient AIADMK regime.
Stalin emphasized that grassroots voters eagerly await the ballot to register their profound dissatisfaction with prolonged misgovernance and stalled local infrastructure. He affirmed that the DMK will systematically thwart every undemocratic maneuver attempted by partisan officials.
