Stalin extended warm greetings on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, wishing all differently abled individuals abundant joy, equal societal opportunities, and holistic personal advancement. Stalin highlighted that former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi transformed Tamil Nadu's disability welfare policies by introducing the dignified Tamil term 'Maatruthranalligal' to replace disparaging terminology. Karunanidhi demonstrated exceptional personal dedication by creating a dedicated government department overseen directly under his chief ministerial portfolio to monitor scheme implementation.

Stalin observed that true social justice requires dismantling societal barriers and creating inclusive institutional environments where differently abled citizens can realize their full potential. He emphasized that progressive governance must ensure barrier-free public infrastructure, accessible transport systems, comprehensive vocational training, equitable employment quotas, and robust monthly financial assistance. Such comprehensive social protections affirm human dignity and empower marginalized individuals to lead independent, fulfilled lives.

Stalin reaffirmed the DMK's steadfast commitment to expanding disability rights and implementing pioneering welfare initiatives across Tamil Nadu. He pledged that future progressive administrations will continuously prioritize institutional support, healthcare accessibility, educational grants, and economic empowerment for all differently abled citizens across the state.
