DMK president M.K. Stalin launched a scathing critique against the ruling AIADMK dispensation for demonstrating heartless apathy towards grieving families following the catastrophic wall collapse in Mettupalayam. Stalin stated that mockingly dismissing the agony of devastated citizens reflects a government devoid of basic human compassion. He insisted that an administration sworn to serve the public cannot treat grieving working-class citizens with contempt and police intimidation.

Stalin articulated three immediate demands to provide meaningful restitution for the affected households in Nadur village. First, he demanded that the state administration disburse substantial financial compensation to next of kin rather than nominal token relief.
