DMK president M.K. Stalin launched a sharp attack against the Tamil Nadu State Election Commissioner, alleging that the constitutional official had compromised institutional integrity by subverting statutory election rules. Stalin remarked that the election commissioner had abandoned independent statutory duties and was acting like a subservient branch secretary of the ruling AIADMK, dancing to the tunes of Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Municipal Administration Minister S.P. Velumani. He described the commissioner's actions as a murder of the law.

Stalin stated that the brazen collusion between the ruling AIADMK establishment and the State Election Commission represents a severe assault on grassroots democracy. By issuing arbitrary notifications without completing required delimitation processes and reservation rosters, the authorities deliberately sought to derail transparent civic elections. Stalin declared that the opposition will not remain passive spectators while the democratic franchise of Tamil Nadu's citizens is hijacked to serve the partisan interests of an unpopular ruling party.
