DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a passionate campaign appeal to the voters of Tamil Nadu, calling upon the electorate to decisively support candidates nominated by the Secular Progressive Alliance in the upcoming local body elections. Stalin characterized the incumbent AIADMK regime as an administration that systematically undermined local democracy and civic institutions through deliberate delays, corrupt practices, and bureaucratic interference. He stated that the local body elections represent the crucial first step toward ending rampant administrative corruption across the state.
Stalin pointed out that grassroots civic bodies had been deprived of elected leadership for years, stalling basic municipal services, rural infrastructure development, and local welfare delivery. Leaving local administration in the hands of special officers and corrupt political intermediaries paralyzed civic problem-solving in villages and towns alike. Electing honest and capable representatives from the DMK alliance remains essential to restore transparent, responsive civic administration.
Stalin urged rural and urban voters to cast their ballots with democratic determination to usher in good governance at the grassroots level. He emphasized that an overwhelming victory for DMK alliance nominees will establish clean civic administration and pave the way for broader political transformation across Tamil Nadu.
