DMK president M.K. Stalin called on the Union Bharatiya Janata Party government to abandon anti-people policies and divisive political strategies, urging central authorities to concentrate administrative energy on reviving the sluggish national economy. Stalin stated that deploying divide-and-rule tactics, inciting public distress, and subsequently suppressing citizen protests damages the country's democratic fabric. He argued that peace-loving citizens across India expect constructive governance focused on livelihood protection rather than deliberate societal polarization.
Stalin pointed out that the central government has increasingly relied on contentious legislative measures to distract from pressing economic realities, declining job creation, and rural distress. Instead of addressing industrial slowdown and declining consumption, the ruling administration forces ordinary people into sustained agitation to defend their basic constitutional entitlements. Both the central and state governments must recognize their primary obligation to ensure economic stability and social tranquility.
Stalin emphasized that genuine national development requires social harmony, inclusive policy planning, and sound economic stewardship rather than repressive administrative policing against dissenting citizens. He reiterated that the DMK will persistently champion the economic priorities and democratic welfare of Tamil Nadu and the nation against divisive governance agendas.
