DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed profound anguish and alarm over official data released by national emergency helpline Childline 1098, which ranked Tamil Nadu as the second most unsafe state in India for female children. Stalin pointed out that this disturbing statistic exposes the complete collapse of institutional protection and social safety nets for women and young girls under the AIADMK administration. While state rulers continuously issue hollow advertisements boasting about administrative excellence, young female children face rising vulnerability, abuse, and neglect across various districts.

Stalin observed that ensuring the physical safety, dignity, and mental well-being of girl children represents the primary moral and administrative obligation of any civilized government. However, the ruling regime exhibits persistent apathy and criminal negligence toward crimes targeting vulnerable children and women. The failure to maintain rigorous surveillance, expedite child protection investigations, and secure convictions has severely compromised child safety throughout Tamil Nadu.

Stalin appealed directly to the Tamil Nadu police department to treat the safety of female children as an urgent top priority. He called for specialized child protection units, rigorous monitoring, and stern deterrence against offenders.
