DMK president M.K. Stalin inaugurated the Kalaignar Computer Academy in Saidapet, established to provide free vocational and digital technology education to aspiring youth and women from economically vulnerable households. Stalin explained that the institute was modeled after the successful Anitha Memorial Training Centre operating in his Kolathur assembly constituency. The initiative aims to equip young women with modern software proficiency, administrative computing skills, and professional certification, thereby unlocking sustainable employment pathways across emerging industrial sectors.

Stalin emphasized that genuine political leadership requires proactive community development alongside legislative advocacy. By creating neighborhood skill development infrastructure, elected representatives can directly address youth unemployment and socio-economic vulnerability. He called upon all DMK Members of Legislative Assembly and Members of Parliament to replicate this educational model across their respective constituencies, establishing dedicated training hubs to empower young women.

Stalin affirmed that bridging digital disparities and promoting technical literacy reflect the core social justice mission of the Dravidian movement. He expressed confidence that such grassroots skill centers will transform local communities, enabling underprivileged youth to build dignified, independent careers in a competitive modern digital economy.
