DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed the party's high-level Executive Committee meeting in Chennai, declaring the year 2020 as the decisive year of electoral preparation for the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. Writing to party cadres in his traditional Letter to Brethren, Stalin emphasized that the intensity, discipline, and unity with which party workers labor throughout 2020 will directly determine the scale of the party's historic victory in the 2021 assembly elections. He reminded functionaries that the ideological goals and collective triumphs of the movement must always supersede personal preferences, factional disagreements, or individual ambitions.

Stalin highlighted that the people of Tamil Nadu, having suffered extensive administrative misrule, economic stagnation, and institutional decay under the AIADMK regime, are yearning for principled democratic governance. Winning their trust requires sustained grassroots engagement, compassionate resolution of public grievances, and active defense of people's rights on the streets. He instructed party office-bearers to complete booth-level committee formations and execute mass outreach programs across every electoral ward.

Stalin called upon cadres at all levels to work with selfless dedication, mutual camaraderie, and unwavering focus. He affirmed that an organized, disciplined DMK will decisively defeat anti-people forces in 2021.
