SignatureAgainstCAA https://t.co/r4dgAXntpS

DMK president M.K. Stalin inaugurated a massive statewide signature campaign across Tamil Nadu, mobilizing millions of citizens against the Citizenship Amendment Act, National Register of Citizens, and National Population Register. Stalin pointed out that the central government orchestrated these divisive legislative measures primarily to distract public attention from catastrophic economic mismanagement, galloping unemployment, industrial contraction, and rural distress. He expressed firm faith that the documented signatures of crores of Indian citizens will compel the Union government to heed public sentiment.
Stalin observed that rather than introducing constructive fiscal policies to create jobs, stabilize inflation, or support small businesses, the ruling dispensation chose to fracture social unity along religious lines. Subjecting citizens to arbitrary documentation requirements threatens poor, marginalized, and minority communities with state-sponsored disenfranchisement. He emphasized that genuine national development demands compassionate economic interventions rather than authoritarian social engineering that sows fear, mutual suspicion, and societal discord.
Stalin called upon every democratic citizen, student, and civil society group to participate enthusiastically in the signature drive across all districts. He reaffirmed that the DMK will persistently defend the secular foundations of the Constitution. Stalin concluded that organized democratic expression remains the ultimate antidote to divisive governance.
