DMK president M.K. Stalin made an impromptu stop at Teynampet in Chennai while en route to the Murasoli office to participate in the ongoing signature campaign against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Interacting directly with party workers, local shopkeepers, and passing commuters, Stalin signed the petition scrolls and commended the grassroots cadres for their energetic, disciplined mobilization. He called upon party functionaries across all districts to intensify their field outreach and aggressively unmask the anti-people collaboration between the ruling BJP and AIADMK.
Stalin noted that the nationwide opposition to CAA, NRC, and NPR represents a critical struggle to preserve the secular democratic foundation of the Indian republic. By enabling the central regime's divisive legislation through favorable parliamentary votes, the AIADMK leadership betrayed Tamil Nadu's secular ethos and undermined social harmony. Stalin stressed that door-to-door signature collection offers an invaluable opportunity to engage ordinary households, clarify the hazards of discriminatory citizenship laws, and build unbreakable civic solidarity.
Stalin encouraged cadres to exceed campaign targets through dedicated outreach across markets, residential lanes, and transportation hubs. He reiterated that mass public signatures serve as an undeniable mandate against communal division. Stalin affirmed that peaceful democratic resistance will triumph.
