DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed a massive gathering in Tiruvallur during the concluding day of the statewide signature campaign against the Citizenship Amendment Act, National Register of Citizens, and National Population Register. Stalin declared that the Union government introduced these draconian measures primarily to divert public scrutiny from devastating economic stagnation, spiraling youth unemployment, and widespread agrarian collapse. He pledged that the democratic agitation defending secularism and constitutional justice will continue unabated until the contentious measures are revoked.
Stalin pointed out that Indian farmers face unmanageable production debts, collapsing crop prices, and inadequate irrigation support, while industrial stagnation destroys factory jobs across industrial corridors. Instead of formulating constructive fiscal remedies to revive agriculture and rural purchasing power, the central regime chose to manufacture artificial communal friction. Stalin asserted that ordinary working citizens demand livelihood security, food sovereignty, and dignifying employment rather than divisive administrative citizenship hurdles.
Stalin thanked millions of citizens across Tamil Nadu who signed the protest scrolls, demonstrating unparalleled political consciousness. He called upon farmers, trade unions, and youth to sustain unified resistance against harmful economic and social policies. Stalin reaffirmed that public welfare must replace polarizing political agendas.
