DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed profound grief and shock over the tragic road accident near Avinashi in Tiruppur district, where more than twenty passengers lost their lives following a horrific collision between a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus and a container truck. Stalin conveyed his deepest condolences and emotional solidarity to the bereaved family members. He described the incident as a heartbreaking catastrophe that shocked the entire nation.
Stalin urged the Tamil Nadu government and district administration to act swiftly and provide top-tier intensive medical care to all injured survivors admitted across government and private hospitals. He emphasized that specialized medical teams, surgical specialists, and trauma care facilities must be deployed immediately to save critically injured passengers and prevent further loss of life. Stalin also appealed to authorities to coordinate seamlessly with Kerala state officials to ensure seamless identification and dignified transportation of mortal remains.
Stalin demanded that both state and central governments disburse adequate ex-gratia compensation and comprehensive financial assistance to the families of the deceased and severely injured. He called for strict enforcement of highway safety regulations on national corridors. Stalin concluded with an appeal for road safety vigilance to prevent such devastating accidents.
