DMK president M.K. Stalin highlighted the acute shortages of basic protective gear reported across municipal clinics and rural primary health centers. Frontline doctors, nurses, sanitation personnel, and police officers risk their lives daily without standard safety barriers, creating grave infection hazards. By deploying constituency resources and mobilizing local volunteers, opposition representatives can bridge immediate supply gaps and protect critical frontline personnel from occupational transmission.

Stalin urged lawmakers to ensure non-discriminatory distribution, prioritizing marginalized neighborhoods, informal labor colonies, and elderly citizens living in high-density areas.
