Exemplifying responsible political leadership and civic solidarity during an unprecedented public health emergency, DMK president M.K. Stalin announced a substantial financial contribution of one crore rupees from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund. The financial contribution was transferred directly through electronic banking to augment the state treasury's emergency reserves. Stalin noted that combating the virulent pandemic requires collective societal mobilization, transcending political rivalries to equip healthcare institutions and protect vulnerable populations.
Stalin stressed that the designated funds should be deployed to procure life-saving medical apparatus, personal protective equipment for healthcare and sanitary workers, and emergency food relief for impoverished families. He stated that political organizations bear a moral obligation to commit their institutional resources toward public survival when ordinary citizens face catastrophic health and economic crises. Direct financial contributions to official disaster funds reinforce institutional capacity and accelerate medical procurement.
Stalin appealed to philanthropic organizations and citizens to contribute generously toward disaster mitigation efforts. He affirmed that the DMK will continue deploying its cadre network and financial assets to support public welfare. Stalin reiterated that collective benevolence, administrative unity, and scientific rigor will guide Tamil Nadu through the crisis.
