DMK president M.K. Stalin visited Peravallur police station in Chennai to interact directly with police personnel stationed on the frontlines of lockdown enforcement. Inquiring into the operational challenges and physical hazards faced by officers managing vehicular movements and public compliance during the health emergency, Stalin personally distributed protective face masks, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, and hygiene kits. He conveyed his deep gratitude for their diligent, round-the-clock service in maintaining public order and safety.

Stalin emphasized that law enforcement personnel are performing exceptional duties under strenuous physical circumstances during the summer months. Standing at street checkpoints for extended shifts exposes officers to exhaustion and viral transmission risks. Providing adequate safety gear and moral encouragement is an indispensable civic obligation to ensure their physical welfare and boost operational morale.

Stalin assured the officers of the DMK's total solidarity and cooperation throughout the ongoing containment phase. He urged the state home department to provide regular health monitoring, shade umbrellas, and adequate hydration facilities for personnel on field duty. Stalin reiterated that empathetic civic engagement and institutional support are essential to assist law enforcement officers during emergency public health operations.
