Dear Uddhavji, Thank you. Really appreciate the swift action. Requesting your extended support till the crisis persists. @CMOMaharashtra
DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed sincere gratitude to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray for his prompt administrative intervention in addressing the grievances of Tamil Nadu workers stranded in Maharashtra. After Stalin brought the acute difficulties of displaced vendors and laborers to Thackeray's notice, the Maharashtra government mobilized district authorities to inspect relief camps and provide urgent provisions. Appreciating this cooperative gesture, Stalin highlighted the profound significance of interstate empathy and administrative speed during unprecedented national crises.
Stalin requested the Maharashtra administration to extend sustained welfare support, nutritional meals, and hygienic accommodations to all stranded Tamil citizens throughout the duration of the lockdown. Many informal sector workers, textile laborers, and small traders found themselves without income or shelter after transportation networks abruptly halted. Ensuring their continuous well-being prevents panic and safeguards vulnerable families from humanitarian distress until inter-state travel can be safely coordinated.
Stalin affirmed that the DMK will maintain continuous communication with neighboring state governments to track and resolve citizen grievances. He commended Thackeray's leadership and reiterated that cooperative federalism between regional parties serves as a powerful shield protecting ordinary citizens. Stalin emphasized that compassion across regional boundaries reflects the highest ideals of democratic governance.
