However, administrative clearance was abruptly retracted three days later under evident political pressure from ruling party ministers, jeopardizing critical medical preparations.

Stalin declared that narrow partisan rivalry has no place in public healthcare management, particularly during a catastrophic epidemic where every single ventilator represents the difference between life and death. He stressed that the DMK has no desire to escalate political disputes during a health emergency, noting that the origin of funding matters far less than equipping the Karur hospital with modern intensive care machinery. Depriving regional patients of emergency breathing apparatus simply to deny credit to an opposition legislator represents unconscionable governance.

Stalin called upon Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami to intervene directly, override partisan directives, and guarantee the swift installation of ventilators in Karur. He affirmed that the DMK will persistently prioritize patient safety and institutional preparedness over political pettiness.
