DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a stern warning to Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and the AIADMK administration against playing with the lives of crores of citizens for narrow political self-interest and commercial profiteering during the coronavirus pandemic. Stalin called upon the state government to immediately halt the unethical suppression of positive infection data, cease public dissemination of misleading statistics, and confront the full reality of the epidemiological emergency with uncompromising scientific transparency and administrative responsibility.

Stalin stressed that attempting to manufacture an artificial impression of normalcy through artificially suppressed testing numbers severely compromises epidemic containment, creating lethal blind spots that permit the contagion to spread silently through vulnerable communities. He urged the government to dramatically escalate diagnostic testing across all districts, procure certified testing kits and ventilators on a war footing, and adequately equip tertiary hospitals to handle severe caseloads.

Stalin emphasized that the foremost duty of governance during a historic health catastrophe is to rescue human lives by all available means. He affirmed that the DMK will persistently scrutinize public health policies, demanding comprehensive medical readiness and transparent data across Tamil Nadu.
