DMK president M.K. Stalin urged the Tamil Nadu government to exhibit complete administrative transparency regarding the procurement of coronavirus diagnostic test kits, calling upon the administration to publish detailed figures outlining the exact quantities ordered, unit procurement prices, and contracted vendors, following the commendable benchmark established by the Chhattisgarh state government. Stalin noted that the Health Minister of Chhattisgarh had publicly and transparently disclosed that his administration procured high-quality testing kits at remarkably low prices through direct negotiations.

Stalin questioned why the AIADMK administration maintained an opaque veil of secrecy around its medical procurements in Tamil Nadu, refusing to reveal comparative pricing or tender terms to the public and political representatives. In times of national calamity when the entire population is fighting for collective survival, public procurement must be characterized by uncompromising honesty, financial probity, and open disclosure rather than suspicious confidentiality.

Stalin demanded that Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami issue a comprehensive white paper detailing all pandemic-related emergency purchases, equipment costs, and testing expenditures. He affirmed that the DMK will vigorously hold the government accountable for every rupee expended during the crisis.
