DMK president M.K. Stalin formally announced the statewide launch of the pioneering humanitarian campaign Ondrinaivom Vaa (Come, Let Us Unite), summoning the collective strength and civic compassion of Tamil Nadu to combat the catastrophic socio-economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic. Stalin proclaimed that unity represents the greatest power of human society during unprecedented collective adversity, calling upon citizens, voluntary organizations, professionals, and party cadres to pool their resources and stand in solidarity with those facing severe privation.
Stalin explained that the ongoing lockdown had disrupted millions of working livelihoods, leaving vulnerable informal workers, daily wagers, destitute women, and migrant communities facing acute starvation and health vulnerability. Ondrinaivom Vaa was conceptualized as a transparent, participatory platform establishing direct coordination between distressed callers seeking food or medical aid and dedicated volunteer teams capable of delivering prompt relief to doorsteps.
Stalin dedicated the DMK's entire organizational infrastructure and grassroots network to the service of the people, emphasizing that duty to humanity stands above all other considerations. He urged every citizen to join this grand mission, reaffirming that unified societal resolve will overcome the health crisis.
