DMK president M.K. Stalin reaffirmed the DMK's unyielding commitment to stand as an unbreakable pillar of support for the people of Tamil Nadu, as the statewide lockdown left millions of citizens paralyzed without access to food, essential medicines, and daily sustenance. Stalin declared that through the humanitarian initiative Ondrinaivom Vaa, he and the DMK will work tirelessly to ensure that no vulnerable citizen or family is left behind to suffer in isolation during this unprecedented public health disaster.
Stalin highlighted that the sudden cessation of economic activities had devastated unorganized laborers, street vendors, destitute elderly persons, and marginalized communities across urban tenements and rural villages. Recognizing the acute gaps in administrative delivery, the DMK mobilized its grassroots cadre structure to coordinate emergency food drives, doorstep medicine distribution, and direct humanitarian assistance. He stated that political leadership is defined by the ability to empathize and act decisively when human lives are at risk.
Stalin urged citizens to reach out through established party channels without hesitation, pledging that all available resources will be deployed to protect their dignity. He reaffirmed the Dravidian movement's sacred mission of public welfare and societal protection.
