DMK president M.K. Stalin criticized the AIADMK administration for failing to exhibit foresight, strategic planning, or scientific coordination as coronavirus cases continued to rise sharply across Tamil Nadu. Stalin warned that administrative complacency and superficial public relations exercises cannot conceal the escalating severity of the epidemiological crisis confronting the state. He urged authorities to abandon misleading claims of normalcy and instead initiate comprehensive, proactive public health measures to contain viral spread.

Stalin emphasized that human lives are priceless and must never be endangered by political vanity, administrative obstinacy, or bureaucratic inertia. He observed that earlier containment delays, inconsistent testing policies, and inadequate hospital readiness had already placed extraordinary strain on doctors, healthcare personnel, and ordinary families across metropolitan clusters and interior districts. Rather than suppressing uncomfortable facts or engaging in blame diversion, the state leadership must acknowledge ground realities transparently.

Stalin urged the Chief Minister to solicit input from experienced medical experts, epidemiologists, and opposition representatives to devise an evidence-based containment strategy.
