DMK president M.K. Stalin extended warm felicitations to nurses across the globe on International Nurses Day, paying glowing tribute to their extraordinary dedication, maternal compassion, and fearless service on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic. Stalin remarked that while the entire world transformed into an epidemiological battlefield, nursing professionals selflessly put their own personal safety and family well-being at risk to comfort the afflicted and save precious human lives.

Stalin emphasized that expressing verbal gratitude alone is insufficient to honor the invaluable sacrifices made by the nursing community. He pointed out that hundreds of nurses in Tamil Nadu government hospitals were forced to endure grueling work hours, inadequate personal protective equipment, precarious contract employment conditions, and delayed risk allowances due to administrative neglect under the AIADMK regime.

Stalin reaffirmed that the DMK will always stand shoulder-to-shoulder with nursing professionals in their righteous struggle for dignified service conditions, job regularization, and equitable remuneration. He urged the state administration to promptly accept and fulfill all charter demands submitted by nursing associations, ensuring that healthcare heroes receive the institutional respect, financial security, and protection they genuinely deserve.
