DMK president M.K. Stalin urged Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami to take immediate executive action on one lakh critical citizen grievances compiled and published on a dedicated public portal by the DMK. Stalin explained that while DMK cadres and volunteers continuously worked on the ground to address over fifteen lakh distress calls received during the lockdown, these one lakh prioritized representations required direct governmental intervention, policy decisions, and state revenue disbursements.
Stalin noted that the petitions reflected urgent grassroots crises, including acute starvation, lack of livelihood aid, denial of medical treatment, and bureaucratic neglect across rural and urban districts. Having systematically gathered, categorized, and digitized these genuine public pleas through the Ondrinaivom Vaa initiative, the DMK submitted them directly to the state administration to facilitate prompt official redress.
Stalin emphasized that the critical hour demands administrative responsiveness rather than bureaucratic apathy or partisan bias. He called upon the state government to activate district administrations, deploy revenue officials, and disburse required financial and material assistance immediately, reminding the Chief Minister that addressing the survival needs of vulnerable citizens is the primary constitutional duty of elected governance.
