DMK president M.K. Stalin convened a press conference to present documented findings regarding the AIADMK administration's handling of the coronavirus crisis across Tamil Nadu. Stalin outlined a chronological dossier demonstrating how infection numbers surged exponentially across sequential lockdown phases due to administrative lapses, inadequate clinical infrastructure, and deliberate suppression of epidemiological data by state health authorities.
Stalin disclosed that official death registries maintained by Chennai civic cremation grounds recorded substantially higher casualties than the figures publicized in official government health bulletins. When public health departments conceal mortality statistics, independent epidemiologists cannot model transmission trajectories accurately, and citizens are lulled into a dangerous sense of complacency. Stalin asserted that governance by concealment represents an unforgivable dereliction of constitutional responsibility during an unprecedented humanitarian emergency.
Stalin posed detailed questions to Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, demanding transparent disclosure of all pending audit reports, diagnostic backlogs, and localized contagion data. He urged the state administration to abandon defensive public relations campaigns, acknowledge ground realities openly, and implement aggressive public health protocols to save precious human lives across the state without any further administrative delay.
