DMK president M.K. Stalin condemned Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami for attempting to evade governmental responsibility by publicly claiming that only God knows when the coronavirus pandemic will end. Stalin pointed out that having previously blamed political opponents, citizens, and localized clusters for surging contagion numbers, the Chief Minister had now resorted to placing the administrative burden onto divine intervention to conceal his administration's comprehensive failures.

Stalin observed that public esteem and governmental credibility are earned through eradicating viral transmission through proactive measures, not by concealing fatality statistics or abdicating executive duties. Stalin called upon the Chief Minister to abandon unscientific justifications, consult elected public representatives, and listen attentively to medical experts.
