DMK president M.K. Stalin interacted with elected local body representatives from Tiruvannamalai district, who revealed that the state government was deliberately practicing political discrimination in the allocation of essential civic funds. The grassroots leaders reported that local bodies where the DMK had achieved electoral victories were denied basic government allocations, compelling panchayat heads to fund routine disinfectant spraying and sanitation drives out of their personal savings.
Stalin strongly condemned the AIADMK administration for politicizing public health measures during an unprecedented contagion. He stressed that a legitimate government must function as a neutral custodian for all citizens, rather than behaving as a partisan syndicate that penalizes communities for electing opposition representatives. Starving non-AIADMK panchayats of sanitary resources during a virulent pandemic endangers public safety and violates basic tenets of federal and constitutional administration.
Stalin warned the ruling regime that partisan discrimination against elected local bodies will not be tolerated. He demanded immediate, transparent disbursement of statutory funds to all local bodies across Tiruvannamalai and the entire state, commending DMK representatives for serving their constituents courageously despite blatant bureaucratic obstruction and government hostility.
