DMK president M.K. Stalin announced financial assistance of twenty-five lakh rupees on behalf of the DMK to the family of Jayaraj and Bennix, who lost both father and brother to brutal custodial violence in Sathankulam. Expressing deep sorrow for the surviving mother and three daughters, Stalin affirmed that the party stands shoulder to shoulder with the devastated household in their darkest hour of grief and struggle.
Stalin declared that monetary support alone cannot heal the catastrophic loss inflicted by rogue police personnel, but serves as a tangible expression of solidarity from the DMK movement. Beyond economic relief, he pledged that the party will deploy its entire legal wing to support the family through every stage of litigation, ensuring that wealthy or politically connected perpetrators cannot evade criminal consequences. Fighting systemic police brutality requires relentless courtroom persistence, witness protection, and unyielding public vigilance against cover-up attempts by the state administration.
Stalin reiterated that the DMK will pursue every available legal avenue until the guilty officers face formal murder convictions. He emphasized that standing by vulnerable citizens against state oppression remains the foremost duty of the Dravidian movement.
