DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a stern final warning to Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami regarding escalating police atrocities, custodial deaths, and the utter collapse of law enforcement discipline across Tamil Nadu. Addressing the state leadership directly, Stalin declared that the ruling administration cannot continue ignoring widespread citizen anger and institutional abuses that have stained the democratic reputation of the state.
Stalin stressed that the horrifying tragedies in Sathankulam and other towns exposed a total breakdown of governmental oversight, where police stations became centers of unchecked violence while the state home department looked away. Instead of protecting innocent citizens during unprecedented public distress, the government showed shocking indifference, delaying criminal action against murderous personnel and shielding administrative superiors.
Stalin warned that the patience of the people has run out and that democratic resistance will intensify across every district if the government refuses to act decisively. He demanded immediate murder charges against culpable officers, systemic police reforms, and transparent administrative accountability, asserting that the DMK will mobilize every legal and popular avenue to restore the rule of law and protect innocent lives.
