DMK president M.K. Stalin confronted Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, who holds the Home and Police portfolios, questioning his shocking silence and total inaction regarding police officers tampering with evidence and actively obstructing the judicial inquiry in the Sathankulam custodial murders. Stalin pointed out that judicial records had formally documented aggressive attempts by police personnel to intimidate judicial magistrates, destroy station video logs, and withhold vital duty rosters to shield perpetrators.

Stalin challenged the Chief Minister to explain why disciplinary and criminal actions were not initiated immediately against high-ranking police officials who obstructed justice. He asserted that when officers entrusted with enforcing the law brazenly undermine judicial investigations while the head of the administration remains passive, it signals tacit political complicity. Stalin emphasized that administrative inaction under such severe circumstances damages public faith in the rule of law and reveals an alarming lack of moral authority in governance.

Stalin demanded that the Chief Minister fulfill his constitutional oath by ensuring that every official who colluded in tampering with evidence is suspended and prosecuted. He declared that justice for the victims cannot be achieved without dismantling police impunity across Tamil Nadu.
