DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed an evocative letter to party cadres, describing the current political era as an undeclared emergency where foundational constitutional liberties and federal rights are systematically eroded. Stalin observed that while citizens were coping with severe pandemic disruptions, administrative decisions made by central authorities threatened public education, employment security, fertile agricultural lands, industrial stability, merchant livelihoods, and democratic freedom of expression across the country.

Stalin called upon party workers and progressive citizens to build a determined democratic movement grounded in righteous resistance to safeguard regional autonomy and civil rights. He urged cadres to remain vigilant, ignore petty distractions and manufactured political theatrics, and focus entirely on organizing grassroots solidarity against authoritarian governance. He stressed that historical gains achieved by the Dravidian movement, including affirmative action policies and language rights, require steadfast protection from institutional dismantling.

Stalin affirmed that the DMK will continue to stand as the primary shield defending Tamil Nadu rights against executive overreach. He concluded by urging party brethren to stand firmly with affected communities, amplify public concerns, and lead democratic struggles for social justice with unflinching dedication.
