DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a passionate call to Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, and Scheduled communities to stand united and defend their constitutional rights against persistent institutional attempts to undermine social justice. Stalin emphasized that reservation in education and public employment is not an act of charity, but a hard-won constitutional right established through historic struggles to ensure equitable representation for historically oppressed and marginalized sections of society.
Stalin warned that the policies pursued by the Union government pose an imminent threat to the federal reservation framework, systematically depriving eligible youth from underprivileged backgrounds of access to higher education and government recruitment. He asserted that progressive forces must prepare for a resolute democratic struggle to protect these statutory entitlements from dilution. Stalin also cautioned that political forces seeking to distract Tamil society through manufactured cultural controversies and divisive theatrics would face decisive rejection from an enlightened electorate.
Stalin affirmed that the DMK will remain at the forefront of the fight for affirmative action, judicial representation, and state-level reservation autonomy. He urged youth organizations and civic forums to build widespread awareness and mobilize communities to safeguard social justice across India.
