DMK president M.K. Stalin asserted that attempting to hide death tolls while citizens struggled to secure basic hospital beds and oxygen supplies demonstrated an utter lack of empathy and administrative competence at the highest levels of the state executive.

Stalin underscored that an honest government stands alongside its citizens during times of tragedy, providing reliable information, emotional solace, and robust medical relief. By contrast, the state administration focused its energies on public relations maneuvers and statistical concealment to evade criticism of its epidemic mismanagement. This deliberate withholding of mortality facts, he argued, created a false sense of security that hindered community vigilance and delayed critical medical interventions for vulnerable patients.

Stalin called upon the ruling dispensation to immediately end its policy of statistical denial and take full responsibility for public health governance.
