Stalin called upon Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami to immediately publish a comprehensive and reconciled tally of all coronavirus fatalities from every hospital and municipality across the state. He asserted that a democratic administration dealing with a severe epidemic must function with institutional integrity, moral responsibility, and compassion rather than suppressing critical public health data to present an artificial picture of normalcy. Suppressing mortality figures, he noted, undermines public confidence in government health guidelines.
