தமிழக அரசும் எரிபொருள் விலைக் குறைப்பை முயற்சிக்க வேண்டும்.

DMK president M.K. Stalin welcomed the Delhi government's progressive decision to reduce value-added tax on diesel by half, effectively cutting retail fuel prices by approximately nine rupees per litre. Stalin characterized the move as a highly compassionate and economically sound intervention that provides immediate relief to transport operators, small traders, farmers, and working-class families whose livelihoods have been shattered by pandemic lockdowns.
Urging the AIADMK administration in Tamil Nadu to replicate this fiscal measure, Stalin emphasized that lowering state fuel levies is imperative to curb escalating prices of essential commodities. With bus transport, freight logistics, and agricultural irrigation heavily dependent on diesel, excessive state taxation imposes a crushing burden on ordinary citizens already coping with wage losses and business disruptions. A tangible cut in fuel taxes would stimulate local economic activity and inject much-needed purchasing power into distressed households.
Stalin called upon Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami to prioritize citizen welfare over rigid revenue accumulation by immediately reducing state fuel duties. He declared that an empathetic government must alleviate inflationary distress during crises, reaffirming the DMK's ongoing demand for responsible public finance.
