ரூ4.56லட்சம் கோடி கடன்! மத்திய அரசிடமும் நிதி கேட்க திறனில்லை. விளம்பரத்திற்கு பஞ்சமில்லை.

DMK president M.K. Stalin launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami's administration over catastrophic fiscal mismanagement, revealing that Tamil Nadu's outstanding public debt had escalated to an unprecedented four point five six lakh crore rupees. Stalin remarked that borrowing exorbitant commercial loans without creating productive capital assets or expanding public infrastructure appeared to be the only governance skill possessed by the ruling regime.
Stalin observed that the state's economy has been pushed into an intensive care unit, where scarce revenue receipts are swallowed by staggering debt servicing and interest payments. He charged that development capital is routinely diverted to inflated public tenders, commission payouts, and extravagant self-promotional advertisements, leaving vital social sectors underfunded. At the same time, the state government lacks the political courage to demand pending tax devolution and statutory financial compensation from the Union government.
Asserting that ordinary citizens will not forgive such financial ruin, Stalin cautioned that reckless debt accumulation places an unbearable burden on future generations. He demanded immediate expenditure rationalization, transparent public debt reporting, and an emergency white paper on state finances to restore democratic fiscal discipline.
