#PostponeJEEAndNEET
DMK president M.K. Stalin demanded the postponement of national NEET and JEE entrance examinations, pointing out that scheduling competitive tests amid a raging pandemic threatened the physical safety and academic welfare of students across India. He stated that the Union government displayed total indifference to mounting public health hazards by pressing forward with test dates despite widespread appeals from parents, educators, and regional administrations.
Stalin censured the AIADMK administration in Tamil Nadu for feigning resistance in public while meekly surrendering to central dictates behind closed doors. He observed that while state ministers claimed to protect regional students, their inaction left thousands of aspirants vulnerable to viral transmission and logistical distress. A lack of public transit and adequate boarding facilities severely aggravated hardships for candidates living in rural districts.
Emphasizing that academic routines must never take precedence over human life, Stalin called for an immediate nationwide suspension of competitive exams until viral transmission abates across all states. He urged the state leadership to drop political posturing, stand firmly beside local youth, and join nationwide efforts to defer examinations until safe public health conditions return.
