DMK president M.K. Stalin paid solemn tribute to the memory of Ariyalur student Anitha on her death anniversary, describing her as an unforgettable martyr for social justice who sacrificed her life on the altar of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. Stalin noted that Anitha's courageous legal fight against centralized entrance examinations was fought not merely for personal ambition, but on behalf of future generations of underprivileged students across rural Tamil Nadu.
Stalin asserted that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test operates as an exclusionary gatekeeping mechanism designed to snatch away professional education from deserving state board students, particularly those hailing from rural, backward, and oppressed communities. He stressed that Anitha's ultimate sacrifice exposed the injustice embedded in a standardized testing model that ignores regional educational disparity and socio-economic realities. Stalin reiterated that true tribute to Anitha lies in dismantling systemic testing barriers.
Reaffirming the DMK's steadfast commitment to securing a permanent exemption from the medical test, Stalin declared that the Dravidian movement will relentlessly struggle until daughters and sons of the soil attain high positions in medicine and administration across Tamil Nadu without hindrance.
