DMK president M.K. Stalin criticized the AIADMK state administration following objections raised by the All India Council for Technical Education against the government's blanket pass decision for college students with backlogs. Stalin characterized the state government's unilateral announcement as a hasty, ill-conceived political stunt executed without consulting professional educators, regulatory statutory authorities, or university administrations. He stated that poorly planned decrees create severe anxiety and uncertainty for thousands of engineering and arts students across Tamil Nadu.
Stalin pointed out that bypassing academic standards without securing prior statutory concurrence from central regulatory bodies jeopardized the legal validity of degrees awarded to Tamil Nadu students. He stressed that students who worked diligently to build their careers now face the risk of administrative invalidation during higher education admissions or employment verification. Stalin condemned the ruling government for treating complex academic administration as an expedient public relations exercise.
Demanding an immediate, legally sound solution, Stalin urged the Chief Minister to abandon superficial gimmicks and collaborate with academic experts to protect student futures. He affirmed that the DMK will resist administrative recklessness that harms youth opportunities.
