DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed intense sorrow and outrage over the tragic suicide of another medical aspirant, student Vignesh from Elandhankuzhi village in Ariyalur district, who took his life on the eve of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. Stalin noted that Ariyalur, which had already lost young Anitha to the cruel inequities of NEET, had once again witnessed a precious life sacrificed at the altar of an inflexible and discriminatory examination system.
Stalin questioned how many more young lives must be destroyed before the heartless Union government and negligent AIADMK administration recognize the devastating psychological toll inflicted by centralized entrance tests. He issued an affectionate and urgent personal appeal to young students across Tamil Nadu, pleading with them to completely discard thoughts of suicide and face life's challenges with unyielding self-confidence. Stalin emphasized that no single examination can ever define a young person's ultimate human worth or future possibilities.
Reaffirming the DMK's resolute determination to fight for educational justice, Stalin vowed that an incoming DMK administration will scrap NEET permanently and restore equitable medical admissions based on board examinations, ensuring that no aspiring student faces despair again.
