Stalin strongly criticized both the Union government and the ruling AIADMK administration for maintaining prolonged administrative silence on the longstanding, legitimate demand to officially integrate seven distinct sub-castes under the unified nomenclature of Devendrakula Velalar. He pointed out that despite repeated assurances during election campaigns, ruling establishments had failed to issue the necessary executive notifications, causing deep anguish among community members. Stalin affirmed that the DMK has consistently supported this demand as a matter of cultural dignity.
