DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed party cadres through his regular Udanpirappu Kaditham epistle, inviting members and supporters across the globe to participate in the party's annual Mupperum Vizha celebrations at Kalaignar Arangam in Chennai on September 15. Stalin highlighted that the event commemorates the birth anniversary of Dravidian ideologue Thanthai Periyar, the birth anniversary of DMK founder Perarignar Anna, and the founding anniversary of the party. He characterized the convention as a powerful ideological curtain-raiser for the party's upcoming democratic resurgence.
Stalin observed that adhering to the political compass established by former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi provides the party with unwavering moral clarity. In light of ongoing health safety requirements, the celebrations were planned with hybrid arrangements, allowing limited in-person attendance while broadcasting proceedings live across digital networks for millions of party workers. Stalin emphasized that maintaining ideological purity and organizational discipline remains crucial as the party prepares to defeat conservative administrative forces in the upcoming assembly elections.
Calling upon cadres to witness the proceedings with pride, Stalin affirmed that the collective dedication of the party rank-and-file will restore self-respect governance in Tamil Nadu.
