DMK president M.K. Stalin delivered a scathing denunciation of Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami for extending unconditional legislative support to the Union government's contentious agricultural enactments. Stalin pointed out that even long-standing allies of the ruling coalition, such as the Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab, vehemently resisted the bills and withdrew their minister from the Union cabinet to protest the betrayal of cultivators. Stalin asserted that the Chief Minister's constant posturing as a humble farmer stood completely exposed as a hypocritical political disguise. By supporting enactments that dismantle regulated agricultural markets, endanger statutory price safeguards, and facilitate corporate hoarding of essential commodities, the state regime actively aided in mortgaging agrarian livelihoods. Stalin questioned how any leader genuinely connected to rural soil could celebrate policies that strip smallholders of bargaining power against corporate monopolies.

Warning the Chief Minister to stop making dishonest claims about representing agriculturalists, Stalin declared that farmers across Tamil Nadu will never forgive this historic betrayal. He affirmed that the DMK will intensify statewide agitations to ensure the complete withdrawal of these exploitative agricultural laws.
