Editorial context

DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed party cadres through his regular Udanpirappu Kaditham epistle, sharply criticizing Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami for evading substantive democratic debates on crucial public matters during the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly session. Stalin pointed out that while the DMK raised urgent questions regarding pandemic livelihood disruptions, pending Goods and Services Tax dues, soaring state debt, investor summit outcomes, and hydrocarbon pipeline projects in the Cauvery delta, the Chief Minister resorted to hollow theatrical gestures instead of providing transparent answers.

Stalin reminded cadres that it was the ruling AIADMK that originally facilitated the implementation of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test in Tamil Nadu, yet the Chief Minister falsely feigned opposition on the legislative floor. He observed that the government's evasive performance proved its utter incapacity to govern effectively or defend state interests against central encroachment. Stalin declared that the current regime's administrative failures have exhausted public patience across all sections of society.

Assuring party workers and the public that positive political change is imminent within six months, Stalin urged cadres to intensify their grassroots outreach. He reaffirmed the DMK's commitment to transparent, people-centric, and welfare-oriented democratic administration.
